Paintings

Here you will find a selection of my original hand-painted works. I paint in a variety of mediums, including acrylic, oil, and watercolour, choosing the materials that best suit the subject matter, atmosphere, and scale of each piece.

While most of my work is created in my studio in Battle, I also enjoy painting en plein air, capturing landscapes and scenes directly from life whenever the weather permits. Whether working indoors or out in the landscape, I am inspired by the colours, light, and character of the world around me.

While I appreciate traditional subjects and landscapes, I am often drawn to the overlooked and unexpected. Urban scenes, ageing architecture, weathered surfaces, and traces of the past frequently capture my attention, offering character, history, and beauty that can easily go unnoticed. Through my paintings, I aim to celebrate these quieter subjects and invite viewers to see the familiar from a different perspective.
