A lone astronaut drifts across an open sea, enclosed within the fragile transparency of a discarded water bottle.
Suspended between vastnesses - the immeasurable depth below and the infinite sky above - the human is both protected and imprisoned, a paradox of survival within confinement. The bottle, a symbol of human consumption and disposability, is transformed here into a vessel of quiet endurance.
This piece is currently included in the People's Choice in The London Graphic Centre Art Prize.
